Chennai experienced the hottest day of the year on Tuesday

Searing heat retained its grip on Chennai and its suburbs that experienced the hottest day of the year on March 22, 2022.

Rising temperature levels and high humidity made it difficult for city residents, particularly those who were outdoors. The weather stations at Nungambakkam and Meenambakkam recorded a maximum temperature of 37.6 degree Celsius and 38 degree Celsius respectively. The temperature level had climbed up by four degree Celsius above average for the day.

PANEL DISCUSSION -2022 WORLD WATER DAY

Water is the most precious resource for arrival. But nowadays, the scarcity of water is really a threat to the whole world. To celebrate world water day, Eco club organized "panel discussion" on the theme of water scarcity: Impact on urban livelihood. The aim of the panel discussion is to aware the students about the water crises.
The panel discussion started with eight panel members and it was headed by moderator Mrs. N. Anuradha Head department of chemistry. Our panelist shared their imense knowledge about the topic and explained the values of water . Then the session  carried out with taking oath by our college students on saving water .
"Save water save life".

To create awareness among students Eco club has given opportunity to share their opinion on scarcity of water.

"Deer eating garbage in Chennai"

over the past month, upsetting photos of spotted deer feeding on plastic and other waste in and around the taramani area in chennai have surfaced on social media. the deer had reportedly strayed from the iit madras campus or nearby areas. the loss of the forest ecosystem forces these herbivores to munch on plastic which in turn results in their death due to stomach bloating
